National Pet Month – Pet Essentials

Here are 7 things you should buy for your pet

Pet insurance

Pet insurance is smart to have as the future is unpredictable and your pet may become ill or injured and needs care from a vet. There are many types of insurance and companies out there, so we suggest you research a little to find the best insurance for your pet.

Pet bed/bedding

Having somewhere comfy to rest and sleep is essential to any pet, it’s also a space of there own if they feel the need to ‘get away’ for example if you have people over.

Water bowls

This is an obvious one but it’s important that your pet has somewhere they can freely drink water from.

Food bowls and food

his one was predictable after water bowl.

Brush/Comb

Keeping your pet well-groomed can not only help your house be a little less fur-free but it also helps your pet feel more comfortable.

ID Tag/Microchipped

Microchipping your dog is a legal requirement in England, Scotland and Wales. It’s very important to keep your dog’s chip details up to date should they go missing. Microchipping your cat is also very important as cats can tend to just wander off and sometimes can’t find their way back. Having an engraved ID tag with your contact details attached to their collar is excellent.

Playtime

All pets need to have a toy for them to play with, this keeps them entertained when you are not there and helps them get some exercise in by chasing a ball around the room. If you are out all day be sure to have playtime with your pets when you get home, you will both benefit from it! These are just the basics, there are a lot more things you can get for your pets, this depends on what type of pet you have and how your pet is, visit our pet department store for all of your pets needs.
