Protect younger plants from birds with twigs or netting and provide support with pea sticks or netting for easier picking, especially in windy locations. Keep moist and weed free at all times. For best yields regular picking is advised. Easy to grow and versatile, peas and beans make a delicious and nutritious addition to any meal. As well as being a traditional side, legumes also provide a terrific source of protein for a vegan diet. Peas and broad beans prefer cool conditions but need to be grown in full sun or partial shade.
